The Educator Role

The overall purpose and goal of the position is for our participants, with the help of Individual Pedagogical Support in Education (IPSU), to become independent and complete educational measures with a passing result.

We are looking for an educator for an hourly position in Eskilstuna. The position is part-time, but there may be an opportunity for increased employment rate.

As an educator, you support individual participants with functional variations who are undergoing vocational training through the Swedish Public Employment Service. Support is provided in the specific areas where the participant needs help, i.e., through pedagogical measures and work with assistive devices. Based on the needs in the educational situation, IPSU is tailored with the right competence, pedagogical measures, and assistive devices for each participant. You work with the participants at the training sites. Travel to the various training sites is required.

You are part of a team together with other educators in the neighboring area, as well as specialists and coordinators. To thrive in the role, you feel secure working independently with participants, are solution-focused, and flexible. Communication, feedback, and building good relationships with participants, colleagues, customers, and others come naturally to you.

Qualification Requirements

Work Experience

• Documented experience of working with people with functional variations in an educational situation for at least 1 year. This means you have experience as a teacher, teaching assistant, student assistant, or similar role in a school environment.
• Documented experience of working with cognitive assistive devices in an educational situation for at least 1 year, i.e., you have used assistive devices in your work with students.

Work experience must be certified with a certificate from a previous employer.

Education Requirements

Relevant education in pedagogy and/or people with functional variations. Proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
